Ajmer: Police Sunday arrested three accused for duping victims under the guise of selling rare species like golden tortoise and golden owl. Additional SP Rural Dr Kumar said that on March 23 victim Rashid made a complaint at Beawar police station that his acquaintance Saleem came to him and said that a golden tortoise worth Rs 1 crore was available at only Rs 20 lakh. Complainant added that out of greed he paid Rs 12 lakh, but the accused fled.Police formed a special team and arrested Tara Chand Bawaria (27), Rahul Yogi (21), and Rohitash Bawaria (24). Police said the gang trapped victims under the guise of selling rare species which fetch high rates in the market.TNN
