Jaipur: Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan police has initiated an investigation into the alleged irregularities in the issuance of disability certificates at a govt hospital in Beawar, officials said.According to police, a team from the SOG visited the hospital Tuesday as part of the probe. The SOG team scrutinised documents and records linked to the case, focusing on how the certificates were issued and whether due procedure was followed. Sources said the probe centres on suspected manipulation in the certification process, raising concerns over misuse of official channels.Investigators are examining hospital records, the functioning of the medical board, and the roles of officials involved in approving and issuing the certificates. The team is verifying documentation to establish whether any forged or fraudulent entries were made.Officials indicated that the inquiry is at a crucial stage, with the SOG attempting to map the chain of approvals and identify lapses, if any, in the system.Police said strict action will be taken against any official found guilty once the investigation is completed.
