Jaisalmer: A man in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district died by suicide Sunday, a day after filing a police complaint alleging sexual harassment of his minor daughter, police said.The man, a resident of the Lathi police station area, lodged the report on Saturday night, accusing a boy from the village of sexually harassing his daughter for some time. Police told him action would be taken by Sunday morning, officials said.On Sunday, the man allegedly hanged himself inside a room at his house. When he did not open the door, his wife alerted neighbours, who broke it open and found him hanging, police said.The body was taken to Pokhran hospital for post-mortem and later handed over to the family. The family said he had been under prolonged mental stress.Police registered an unnatural death case and said an investigation is underway.
