JAISALMER: Lieutenant General Sandeep Jain, AVSM, SM, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Southern Command, visited the Konark Corps area to review the formation’s operational preparedness and ongoing modernization efforts aimed at transforming it into a future-ready force.During the visit, Lt Gen Jain was briefed by senior officers on the current operational environment, readiness levels, and key initiatives being undertaken to enhance combat effectiveness.He assessed the formation’s preparedness to respond to emerging security challenges and emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of vigilance and professionalism.A significant focus of the review was on technology absorption and the integration of advanced systems into operational frameworks.
