Tollywood actor Sudheer Babu is celebrating his 49th birthday today, May 11 and his brother-in-law and superstar Mahesh Babu shared his wishes by posting an unseen picture of the two. The two are captured in an early photo where the ‘Varanasi’ actor looks much leaner and clean-shaven, unlike his current look as he prepares for the film.

Mahesh Babu took to his Instagram stories to share a picture of Sudheer Babu and himself, where the two are seen candidly conversing with others. Their smiles show they are happily interacting with others present in the room. With the picture, the ‘Guntur Kaaram’ actor wished Sudheer Babu happiness and success, writing, “Happy Birthday Sudheer…Wishing you happiness and success always (hug emojis).”
Namrata Shirokar wishes for a year filled with joy
Mahesh Babu’s wife, former actress and model Namrata Shirokar, also wished the ‘Jatadhara’ actor on her Instagram handle by sharing a family photo. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy birthday @isudheerbabu, Wishing you a year filled with happiness and success. Have a great one (hug emoji).”
For the unversed, Sudheer Babu is married to Priyadarshini, the daughter of veteran actor Krishna and Mahesh Babu’s younger sister.Sudheer Babu was last seen in the 2025 horror action comedy film, ‘Jatadhara’, starring Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role.

Sudheer Babu and Mahesh Babu share high respect for each other. During ‘Jatadhara’s pre-release event, he got emotional and shared that he’s aware that most cheers in public are for Mahesh Babu and even if one or two are for him, he considers it his reason to keep fighting as per Gulte. “My 20 films, successes and failures alike, are solely the result of my own effort and choices. I have never asked for Mahesh’s help, even though he is always ready to assist. This is why I say, the reason I have done 20 films is one person- the one called ‘Krishna’s son-in-law, Mahesh’s brother-in-law, Sudheer Babu.’ This film, Jatadhara, is one of my best works,” he said.

‘Jatadhara’ revolves around a ghost hunter who believes every mystical occurrence has a scientific reason. The film also includes the ‘Dabangg’ actress in a never-before-seen avatar of fierce goddesses fueled by greed. It is currently streaming online.Meanwhile, Mahesh Babu is working on SS Rajamouli’s ‘Varanasi’, sharing the screen with Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
